I decided to add a blog page here to keep track of my latest voice acting projects and to share VA related info and ideas.
For instance . . . I’m a bit of a DIY tech nerd when it comes to this voice acting stuff, but I’m more than happy to share tips or answer questions here. And just so you know, I am NOT trying to pass myself off as a pro audio know-it-all guy. I’m a voice acting hobbyist. I’m still learning and would love to hear how others get their hi-fi sounds on a low-fi budget. So send me an email with your questions or details/pics of your home set up and I’ll post it here. I promise you at least two people are going to read it on here.
A few things I’m currently working on . . .
Tactical Assault – This will be a free stand-alone FPS video game. They had posted an audition thread on VAC a while back and caused some frustration for not including an email to send auditions to. Luckily, I managed to get a demo to the right person and they put me on a “trial membership”. Fast forward a few weeks and I’m now on as a “development team” member. I’m pretty excited!
Volatile – This will be a PRPG (puzzle role playing game) for the iPhone and iPod Touch. One of the sound designers on Tactical Assault worked on the music for this game and connected the developer and I together. Check it out, the game seriously looks cool.
RedHand – Flash animation series. Role of “Shen”. Just sent my lines in today, actually.
Halo: Abandoned – A machinima series. I’ve recorded a few one-off lines for this RomBag Productions series in the past and love their sense of humour. I recently received an email from them telling me about an actual character they’ve developed for me. Think trained killer, but like Dory from ‘Finding Nemo’. They’re currently reshooting previous episodes in HD, so it will be a little while before I get lines for my character, but I’m looking forward to it.
There’s a bunch of projects in the production stage and I’ll try to post links as directors/producers finish them.
